More than time, it is imminent to talk about Medicine in an even more scientific aspect

 

This beginning of the decade was marked by a social and public health emergency on a global scale. The theme “Science in times of pandemic” and the impact of Covid-19 were active in the 23rd National Congress of the Order of Physicians (OM) which set out to present the recent updates of the different areas of Medicine.

A meeting that took place, between May 31 and June 3, in a hybrid format with 2 virtual rooms and 1 face-to-face room, in the old Church of the Convent of São Francisco in Coimbra. In both spaces, prestigious speakers such as José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the Global Vaccine Alliance and Andrea Ammon, Director of the European Centre of Provence and Disease Controlopened a debate on the subject.
