In 2006 Leading prepared for AESOP the candidacy for the congress. 6 years later Lisbon hosted the 6th Congress of the European Operating Room Nurses Association (EORNAC), recognized by all as the best edition ever.

EORNAC is the largest congress of the specialty and takes place every three years. Specialized perioperative nurses from most European countries, as well as from Russia, the United States, Australia and Japan participate.

The congress also has the participation of all the presidents of the European national associations, representatives of the associations of perioperative nurses of Canada (ORNAC), USA (AORN), Australia (ACORN), as well as the council and president of IFPN (International Federation of Perioperative Nurses).
