Probably one of the most complex and challenging congresses held by Leading. 3400 Abstracts submitted, more than 2400 papers presented during 5 days in 70 rooms simultaneously.

Between the days 2 and 5 September 2009, Lisbon welcomed 9^thConference of the European Sociological Association, registering 2600 participants. To date, this was the biggest event of European Sociological Association, recording record numbers also in the abstracts submitted online (3200) and in the papers to be presented at the conference (2436 oral presentations and poster presentations).
