The ceremony of Aga Khan Music Awardswas closed with the announcement of the Award in the performance category, the delivery of US $500.000 in prizes and a final concert that brought together ten laureates, six categories and 13 countries from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America. A true celebration of diversity and pluralism through music.

The Awards were presented by His Highness Aga Khan, by the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and by Prince Amyn Aga Khan.

The mission of the Aga Khan Music Awards Program is to promote the development of a living musical heritage in societies around the world and disseminate this work internationally.
