Education has not always been a transversal and potentiating system of opportunities. Today, more than ever, it is important to study its history to understand what contours have been opened and new paradigms can arise.
O XIV Ibero-American Congress on the History of Education (CIHELA), in virtual format, from 20 to 23 July, based on the theme “Revolution, Modernity and Memory: Paths of the History of Education”. This edition was marked by the 200th anniversary of the Portuguese Revolution of 1820, date from which the construction of a modern school model to promote literacy and schooling began.
