What is the role of official statistics as a pillar of democracy?

A 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics, Q2024, organized by hair National Statistics Institute of Portugal (INE)and by Eurostat, took place in Estoril, between the days 4 e7 June 2024.

The event highlighted the most pressing challenges faced by the statistical community and, as a complement to the main sessions, included, on June 4, a series of specialized courses led by experts in the sector. These courses focused on four strategic areas: quality management, innovation, data science and artificial intelligence, dissemination and communication, as well as integration of administrative data and private sources.
