At the beginning of September 2024, the city of Porto established itself as the world capital of knowledge about rare diseases of metabolism

The historic undefeated city hosted the SIEM 2024, an event of excellence that stood out as one of the largest scientific meetings held in Portugal that year.

Organized by the recognized Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (SSIEM), the Congress brought together a vast and diverse group of participants, including internationally renowned experts, pioneering researchers, experienced clinicians and other professionals dedicated to the field.
